Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will make a statement on the status of a person (details supplied); if, in view of the length of time that this person and her two children have been living here, he will make a decision on humanitarian grounds to allow them to remain in view of their commitment to the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that, having reviewed the case file in this matter, I have decided to grant humanitarian leave to remain in the State to the person concerned and her two children for an initial period of one year. This decision will be communicated in writing to the person concerned very shortly.
