105 Mr. Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if she has conducted a study of cancer clusters on Dublin’s northside; if so, the results of such study; and the agency which is responsible for studying patterns to identify possible sources of risk. [13774/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Health Act 2004 provided for the Health Service Executive, which was established on 1 January 2005. Under the Act, the executive has the responsibility to manage and deliver, or arrange to be delivered on its behalf, health and personal social services. This includes responsibility for the provision of cancer services. The Health Service Executive northern area conducted a study into cancer incidences in a specific area in Dublin's north inner city. My Department has requested the chief officer of the executive's northern area to forward a copy of the study to the Deputy.
