Amharc ar fhreagraIn yesterday's budget statement, the Minister for Finance announced an additional €25 million for the further development of our mental health services in line with the Report of the Expert Group on Mental Health Policy, "A Vision for Change". Operational responsibility for the management and delivery of health and personal social services was assigned to the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004 and funding for all health services is provided as part of its overall vote. The HSE's National Service Plan for 2007 will include details of the services to be provided in respect of mental health.
