The Office for Social Inclusion (OSI), located in my Department, has overall responsibility for the development, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of Ireland's National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007-2016. The Office, which comprises ten members of staff, co-ordinates the process across Departments, Agencies, Regional and Local Government, and implements key support functions. The grade levels of the staff include a Director, 1 Principal Officer, 2 Assistant Principals, 3 Higher Executive Officers, 2 Administration Officers and 1 Clerical Officer. The key challenge for the Office is to ensure that the social inclusion agenda is being implemented and further developed at national, regional and local levels of government in consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
