1005 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government further to a previous parliamentary question, if he will provide further details in relation to a former monument in County Mayo (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14497/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs indicated in reply to Question No. 670 of 3 April 2007, under Section 12(3) of the National Monuments (Amendment) Act 1994 two months notification in writing of any works proposed at or in relation to a monument listed on the statutory Record of Monuments and Places is required to be given to the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. Notification of quarrying works at the stated location was referred to my Department in November 2006 by Mayo County Council. Copies of the relevant documentation in this matter will be forwarded to the Deputy. The provision of planning documentation is a matter for the relevant planning authority.
