217 Deputy Mary Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the passport, green card and travel documents of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will be renewed and their situation regularised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24527/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person in question was originally granted permission to remain in the State based on her parentage of an Irish born child under the particular scheme which existed at that time. This permission expired on 05/10/2007 and is now due for renewal. The person in question should renew their permission with the Garda National Immigration Bureau. The onus is on the applicant to produce the relevant documentation, including a valid passport, when seeking registration with the Garda National Immigration Bureau.
