330 Deputy Dinny McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science if an extension and refurbishment has been sanctioned for a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; if he will provide details of the extension and refurbishment; if the tendering process has been completed; the date the tendering process was completed; if approval has been given for work to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraA tender report for the project referred to by the Deputy has been received by my Department. The contract for the project has not yet been awarded.
The progression of all large scale building projects, including this project, from initial design stage through to construction will be considered on an on-going basis in the context of my Department's multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme. However, in light of current competing demands on the capital budget of the Department, it is not possible to give an indicative timeframe for the progression of the project at this time.
