Ceisteanna (315)

Brendan Howlin

Ceist:

372 Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if, in view of the contraction in the construction industry and difficulties in the financial services sector, he will review relevant legislation in order to provide that planning permission can be extended from five to eight years when commencement of construction is delayed specifically as a result of the recession; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
