173 Deputy Michael Ring asked the Taoiseach the numbers on the live register of unemployed in each social welfare office in County Mayo at 1 January 2009; and if he will compare these to figures for 1 January in each of the past four years. [1520/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Live Register series gives a monthly breakdown of the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Benefit, Jobseeker's Allowance and other registrants as registered with the Department of Social and Family Affairs. Figures are published for each county and each social welfare office. The most recent information is for December 2008. The following table contains the number of persons signing on in each social welfare office in County Mayo on the last Friday in December in each year from 2004-2008.
