278 Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform if he will provide details of the notification received regarding the number of gardaí who have retired from 1 January 2010 up to 31 December 2010 in tabular format on a county basis. [2032/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda authorities that the total number of Gardaí who retired during 2010 was 362. I refer the Deputy to my answer of 7 December 2010 to PQ 46467/10 in which I stated that a breakdown of retirees on a county basis in tabular form is not readily available and the compilation of the information, as requested, would require a disproportionate amount of Garda time and resources.
