195 Deputy Joe Costello asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will consider establishing a Dáil constituency or Seanad panel for Irish emigrants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5389/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe programme for Government sets out a comprehensive range of constitutional reform measures, including putting to the people, for decision by referendum, a proposal for the abolition of the Seanad and a review of the Dáil electoral system by a Constitutional Convention. I will bring forward proposals for change to electoral law in light of the decisions for change which may arise from these processes.
