324 Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will purchase fishing rights from a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24606/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe suitability of fishing rights for purchase by the State is a matter in the first instance for Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI). IFI are aware that the rights in question are currently for sale on the open market. Given the commercially sensitive nature of such matters it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the State's intentions with regards to the purchase of any property for sale on the open market.
