306 Deputy Joan Collins asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the number of staff and their grades employed in the Registry of Friendly Societies in each of the years 2009, 2010 and in 2011; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27214/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Registry of Friendly Societies is an office of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation co-located with the Companies Registration Office. Both offices are entirely staffed by departmental staff and the officer warranted as the Registrar of Companies is now the same officer warranted as the Registrar of Friendly Societies. The two offices are integrated and utilise the same shared IT, legal and administrative services, the staff of which are dedicated to neither one office nor the other.
In terms of staff solely dedicated to registration functions in respect of societies registered by the Registrar for Friendly Societies, the following is the situation pertaining to 2009, 2010 and 2011:
