20 Deputy Brian Stanley asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the date on which she will publish adoption legislation to accompany a children’s rights referendum; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15105/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn the context of the proposed referendum on children's rights I am very aware of the need to provide clarity around the associated proposals for legislative change regarding adoption. Work is ongoing in the Department in this regard. It is my intention that the adoption proposals will be published in conjunction with the publication of the proposed wording of the referendum.
