Ceist:

265 Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will set out, in respect of Government Departments, State controlled banks and State agencies, any contracts for the provision of services by a company (details supplied); if he will quantify the value of such contracts and set out the safeguards in place to avoid conflicts should that company set out to buy the assets of State controlled banks. I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has no contracts for the provision of services with this company. In relation to contracts for the provision of services to State companies under the aegis of my Department this is an operational matter for the individual companies in the first instance and I have no function in this regard.
