710. Deputy Nicky McFadden asked the Minister for Transport; Tourism and Sport when a decision will issue on the application for sports capital funding in respect of an organisation (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43286/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has received over 2,350 applications for funding under the 2012 Sports Capital Programme, the largest number of applications ever received. Departmental officials are assessing all of the applications and the process will take some time due to the volume of applications. I expect to be in a position to announce the list of successful applicants later this year. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application at that stage.
