372. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will confirm when organisations who had applied under his Department's 2012 sports capital grant programme were officially informed that their application was invalid; if he will confirm the way this information was communicated to each organisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is writing to all unsuccessful applicants. Where applications were deemed invalid, my Department is informing the applicants of the reasons why they were deemed invalid. This information has already been conveyed to a number of such applicants who contacted the Department in advance of receiving the Department's correspondence.
