266. Deputy James Bannon asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the number of micro finance-loan guarantee applications assessed for County Longford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33132/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraA full progress report on the operation of the scheme from 1 October 2012 to 31 March 2013 can be found on my Department’s website (www.enterprise.gov.ie) and the Microfinance Ireland (MFI) website (www.microfinanceireland.ie). I hope to publish the second quarter progress report shortly, which will include county based information. To date there have been 2 applications received from Longford, and both were declined. MFI conducts an independent credit assessment on each application and my Department has no function in the day to day decision making of the company.
