1276. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to undertake a national speed limit review; the type of roads that will be covered by such a review; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46483/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department established a stakeholder group to progress a review of speed limits nationally. The Automobile Association, An Garda Síochána, the Road Safety Authority, the National Roads Authority, representatives of local authorities and the National Transport Authority accepted my invitation to participate in the Working Group. The Group is putting the final touches to its report and I expect to launch it before the end of this month.
