221. Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views on a matter (details supplied) regarding non-capital grants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45733/14]

There is no grant funding available from the Department for current expenditure by sports clubs. However, the purchase of sports equipment is funded under the Sports Capital Programme. There will be a further round of the Sports Capital Programme in 2015.
