Deputy Gabrielle McFadden asked the Minister for Health if he will provide an update on the planning for a third palliative care consultant for the midlands, to be based at Mullingar Hospital, County Westmeath; when the second palliative care consultant will be in place for the midlands; the location of same; the remit of the existing palliative care consultant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
