Number of current vacancies: 5

Description of current vacancies:

- Two Accountants

- One Practising Solicitor at Assistant Principal level

- One Assistant Principal

- One Higher Executive Officer

In line with the current business needs of the ODCE, my Department is currently working with the Public Appointments Service to recruit and appoint six professional accountants (five of which are additional) as well as an additional Higher Executive Officer with IT expertise to the ODCE. My Department anticipates that the posts will be advertised shortly.

Staffing levels of my Department, its Offices and Agencies, including the ODCE, are reflective of the requirement to manage the pay bill and staff numbers in accordance with Government policy which, over the period in question, was to reduce the overall staffing numbers in the public sector under the Moratorium and Employment Control Framework. Staffing of all business units of the Department, including the ODCE, is managed in that context, utilising available resources in the most effective and efficient manner as appropriate to business needs.
