68. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the status of an application by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry under the disability allowance scheme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5857/16]

The application for disability allowance (DA) from the person in question was received on 12 November 2015. A deciding officer requested financial information on 25 January 2016 in order to determine the means of the person concerned. This information, along with further medical evidence, was received on 2 March 2016 and is currently being examined by a deciding officer.

Once a decision has been made on all aspects of the application, the person concerned will be notified directly in writing.
