71. Deputy Michael Ring asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she has reviewed a claim by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo under the carer's allowance scheme; the outcome of the review; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5860/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraA review of this case took place and the application for carer’s allowance in respect of the person concerned was awarded on 5 March 2016 and the first payment issued to the person’s nominated bank account on 10 March 2016.
Any arrears of allowance due (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) will issue shortly.
