229. Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of an application for emergency works funding for a school (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20571/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe application for emergency works scheme funding (EWS) from the school to which the Deputy refers has been refused. It would appear that the school put in an underpass that compromised a wall on the school's property. This development gave rise to the EWS application for funding to repair the wall. However, as the design and delivery of the underpass should have taken the wall into consideration, the school has been advised to purse this issue with its Consultant for the underpass project.
