124. Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position in relation to the application to provide additional accommodation and infrastructural facilities at a school (details supplied), in particular to replace the prefabricated accommodation and provide additional parking and sporting facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no record of receiving an application for capital funding from the school referred to by the Deputy. Any application received will be assessed in the context of current competing priorities and the need to prioritise available funding for essential classroom accommodation where additional teachers are being appointed.
