Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Education and Skills when he will fill the eight vacancies that currently exist on the Higher Education Authority; and if he will make these appointments a priority in view of the fact that the current membership of the HEA does not meet the minimum statutory requirement of seven academic members as set out in section 2 of the Schedule to the Higher Education Act 1971.
