678. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the planned cooking and recreational facilities and size of the living space that will be in the new family hubs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31394/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraStatutory responsibility in relation to the provision of accommodation and related services for homeless persons rests with individual housing authorities, while my Department’s role involves the provision of a national framework of policy, legislation and funding. It is therefore a matter for the relevant housing authorities to consider the precise support services/facilities to be available at specific family hubs, taking account of guidelines provided by my Department, the physical configuration of individual buildings and any specific needs of families being accommodated.
