1163. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development his plans to introduce CCTV and security grants for persons residing in rural areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46598/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraA grant aid scheme to assist community groups to establish community based CCTV systems was announced by the Minister for Justice and Equality in April 2017. The scheme is operated by the Department of Justice and its administration is a matter for that Department.
