The current position regarding the school in question is that the planning application is in progress and is expected to be ready to lodge late December or early January. Representatives of the school attended a meeting with Department Officials last week to bring them up to date on the project and to review the plans prior to lodging. Department Officials and the Design Team for the project have met with the Planning Authority and all matters arising in relation to the design and infrastructure are being addressed through the Planning process.

In tandem with this the conveyancing process in respect of this acquisition is at an advanced stage. The finalisation of the acquisition has been delayed to date as some technical issues raised as part of the conveyancing process needed to be clarified.  These issues have been resolved for the most part and the Department expects to be in a position to finalise the contracts shortly.
