Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development the bodies under the aegis of his Department to which it provides in excess of €1 million funding per annum; the public funding received by these bodies; the bodies in which 50% or more of their income comes from public sources; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department provides funding in excess of €1 million per annum to the four state bodies which fall under its remit - Pobal, the Western Development Commission, Irish Water Safety, and the Charities Regulatory Authority.
The following table outlines the 2017 allocation to each body and states the bodies where 50% or more of its income comes from public sources:
