571. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education and Skills his plans to ensure that SOLAS training centres have the same access to high speed broadband as primary and secondary schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34463/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Education and Training Board (ETB) Training Centres (formerly FÁS Training Centres) originally had broadband links through the FÁS network. Following the establishment of SOLAS and the amalgamation of the former Vocational & Education Committees (VECs), a project was undertaken by my Department to provide these Training Centres with a Government Network connection. I can confirm that this project has been completed and all of the ETB Training Centres have been provided with high speed connectivity through Government Networks.
