604. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development further to Parliamentary Question No. 491 of 11 December 2018, if he will engage with the commercial operators displaced by the not-for-profit company supported by the community service programme in respect of the further report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware my Department is currently examining a report on the matter referred to and as such, it would be inappropriate for me to meet with any organisations pending the outcome of that examination.

That said, officials from my Department and Pobal have met with representatives from the companies in question and there is also ongoing contact via phone calls and emails.
