Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is aware of issues relating to rising insurance costs in some special schools which have been brought to my Department’s attention, through correspondence received from a number of special schools, including St Teresa’s Special School, and through discussions with the National Association of Boards of Management in Special Education (NABMSE).
Officials from my Department have been in contact with the board of St. Teresa's Special School and are working as a matter of urgency with NABMSE and other relevant government departments, including the State Claims Agency, to seek a resolution to the issue of increased insurance costs in special schools.
