218. Deputy Micheál Martin asked the Minister for Finance if he and his officials have received correspondence from a charity (details supplied) regarding concerns about tax certainty; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33438/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has recently received a representation from the organisation concerned and a reply is being prepared. The Deputy will appreciate that I cannot comment in detail in advance of the reply issuing but I would make the point that Revenue is statutorily independent in its administration of the tax system and it would therefore be inappropriate for me to intervene in its work.
