Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the number of towns awaiting progress for the commencement of phase one of the collaborative town health check process; the budget allocated by his Department to the Heritage Council for this initiative in 2021; the average costing for an initiative per town based on the experience of operating the programme by his Department and the Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Collaborative Town Centre Health Check is an initiative of the Heritage Council which is funded by my Department. Arrangements have been put in place by all bodies under the aegis of my Department to facilitate the provision of information directly to members of the Oireachtas.
