The Night Time Economy Support Scheme aims to provide off-peak entertainment to support increased footfall in our towns and cities, as well as providing artists with paying gigs and customers with more a more alternative, diverse and inclusive night-time offering.

I launched the scheme on the 21st June, with an allocation of €2.6 million and due to the significant interest in the scheme, I made the decision to extend the closing date on the 27th July with an additional allocation of €1.4 million. The scheme closed on Thursday 4th August as the fund had been exhausted, so unfortunately, my Department is not in a position to accept any new applications at this time.

My officials have informed me that they had liaised with the business in question but that no application was received.
