Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth when a payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in respect of accommodation that is being provided given the substantial amount that is owed to them; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I very much regret any delays experienced by providers in securing payment, which is due to the extraordinary volume of invoices being processed in the context of the number of Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection being accommodated. I have assigned additional resources to clear the backlog.
