Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a decision on their application with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI, in view of the fact that an employment opportunity is hinging on this decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the maintenance of the register of Nurses and Midwives is an operational matter for the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), I have referred the question to the NMBI for its attention and direct response to the Deputy.
