196. Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Transport the amount that Bus Éireann spent on security equipment and personnel on its bus fleet in the years 2021, 2022 and to date in 2023, in tabular form. [32312/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The issue raised by the deputy in relation to the amount that Bus Éireann spent on security equipment and personnel on its bus fleet in the years 2021, 2022 and to date in 2023 is an operational matter for Bus Éireann.I have, therefore, referred the Deputy's question to the company for direct reply.
