Vol. 7 No. 15

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - A DERELICT FACTORY.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that an extensive building in which cotton goods were manufactured some years ago is now lying derelict at Portlaw, County Waterford; whether he would be prepared to arrange for an Inspector to visit the place, and report on the accommodation, etc., so that the Minister may be in possession of all the facts in the event of inquiries for such premises being made to his Department; and whether the opening of this factory would not relieve the unemployment and consequent distress now prevailing in the locality.

Mr. HOGAN

If the Deputy will give me the name of the owner of these premises and particulars as to its precise situation, I will see if an inspection can be arranged.
