Accounts amounting to £1,098 6s. 9d., covering the period from March, 1922, to August, 1923, have been received from Mr. Cleare, and have been settled by payments amounting to £1,060 1s. 6d. The balance of £38 5s. 3d. represents deductions in respect of charges in excess of authorised rates and items not payable from Army funds. Nothing is known at Headquarters of an account for £171 16s. 9d., but Mr. Cleare is being communicated with on the matter.
