asked the Minister for Justice whether he is in a position to state if new regulations controlling street trading in the City and County of Dublin are to be issued.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REGULATIONS RE STREET TRADING.
There is no statutory power to make such regulations. Before anything can be done in that direction legislation will be necessary. It is the Minister's intention to introduce a Bill which would give power to make regulations controlling street trading, not merely in Dublin, but in such large centres of population as might from time to time require such control. There is no time, however, in the present crowded session, and the matter will have to lie over until the Autumn.
