Vol. 9 No. 27

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - IRISH CO-OPERATIVE ASSURANCE COLLECTING SOCIETY.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has any information about the position of policy holders in the Irish Co-operative Assurance Collecting Society now in liquidation; whether he is aware of numerous complaints of alleged sharp practices by officials of above Company, and if he will state whether policy holders have any means of recovering any portion of monies paid to above Company.

I understand that this Society never did any substantial business and that complaints of mismanagement are current. As to the latter part of the question I am not in the position to express an opinion, but it is open to any member of the Society to take such steps as he might be advised in connection with such irregularities as have occurred.
