Vol. 22 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BLACKWATER (CO. WEXFORD) SCHOOL.

asked the Minister for Education if he has received repeated applications from Rev. T. Quigley, P.P., Blackwater, County Wexford, for a grant to enable him to have a new school erected in that area; whether, in view of the insanitary state of the present building, he will accede to Father Quigley's request.

The Reverend Fr. Quigley has applied for a grant to provide a new schoolhouse in this case, and, in view of the circumstances which render the existing schoolhouse unsuitable as a National School, it is proposed to consider favourably the making of a grant on the usual conditions in aid of the erection of a new building. Forms of application, and so on, in connection with the matter which were sent to the manager for completion were received back on the 28th of last month. The further consideration of the case will be expedited as far as possible.
