WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ACQUISITION OF KERRY BOG.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he is aware that, in a map lodged recently with the Irish Land Commission, Patrick Daly, Knocknageeha, Gneeveguilla, Rathmore, Kerry, tenant on the Kenmare Estate, is named as holding 226 acres, 0 rood, 26 perches; that 171 acres, 2 roods and 26 perches of this land represent bog; and if it is the intention of the Irish Land Commission to take, without the consent of the holder, the major portion of this bog.

On schedule lodged for collection of compounded arrears Patrick Daly is returned as tenant of holding in the townland of Knocknaguilla at an annual rent of £7. The schedule of particulars, map and schedules of areas for dealing with the estate under the purchase provisions of the Act have not yet been lodged.
