Vol. 22 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MONEY FOR ROAD WORK.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what amount of money is being made available for road work during this year for the different county councils in the Saorstát, also the amounts available for the Commissioners in the cities of Cork and Dublin.

As regards the first part of the question I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to Deputy Broderick on the 7th instant on the subject.

No sum has yet been notified to the Commissioners for Dublin County Borough.

Would the Minister say why there is such a change of policy in so far as giving a grant to public authorities for road work this year and why there is such a reduction in the amount of the grant this year as compared with last year.

That is a very different question.
