asked the Minister for Finance whether the Revenue Commissioners have received representations from the Dublin Tobacconists' Association asking them to enforce the law relating to the sale of tobacco and cigarettes, so as to compel the sellers of these articles to exhibit the sign or notice that they are licensed to deal in them.

The representations referred to were duly received by the Revenue Commissioners. A notice to all licensed tobacco dealers in the Saorstát directing their attention to the legal requirements regarding the exhibition of signs was issued by the Commissioners in November, 1926. The Secretary of the Dublin Tobacconists' Association was informed of the issue of this notice on 23rd November, 1926.
