Vol. 23 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - NATIONAL SCHOOL AS MEETING PLACE.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that the National School at Moylough, Tubbercurry, has been used as a meeting place for the Moylough Branch of Cumann na nGaedheal for the past two years; whether he approves of the school being used for this purpose, and, if so, whether other political organisations will be afforded similar facilities.

I have communicated with the Manager, who informs me that he is not aware that any political meetings have been held in the school, and that he will not permit such meetings in the school buildings.

It is not proposed to relax the regulations which deal with the holding of political meetings in National Schools.
