I have not at my disposal official figures in regard to the number of animals slaughtered owing to foot and mouth disease in British markets or ports of landing. If, however, the Deputy will communicate with me indicating the purpose for which such figures are desired by him I shall be glad to consider the question of communicating with the British Authorities in the matter.
